Work-based Learning (WBL) is a crucial component of VET education in Europe, but educational institutions and businesses use very different concepts and languages in their approaches. In order to foster cooperation between education and businesses, a bridge is necessary that builds effective links between VET schools and companies. A third party (e.g. NGOs, associations, local organisations) could mediate this process by helping the different actors “to speak a common language”.
The project aims at designing, testing and disseminating an innovative international blended-learning entrepreneurial education methodology that increases the quality and relevance of students´ skills and promotes internationalisation, innovation and creativity through a transdisciplinary approach and the active involvement of the regional business sectors.
A three-day long event was organized by the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) between 30th January and 2nd February 2017 to officially launch the project “Learning by Doing - Targeted capacity building of VET partnerships in the Danube Region for the effective modernization of VET systems”.
The EAPPREN project is aiming to build the capacity of the intermediary organisations to support apprenticeships through the organisation of e-learning courses.
